A passage from A Month in Siena that deeply moved me was when the author recalls listening to his wife read a passage from her book, Evidence, a photographic monograph. It felt timeless and of the times. In his own search for finding a sense of himself, his father, and his homeland in the landscape and culture of Siena, Hisham Matar was able to craft a story that is, in itself, timeless.
Thank you for not just opening our hearts to the way you "see" but also the gift of hearing it spoken, a little lantern to my night xo
